Cross-Border Motorbikes Rally showed off Oé-Cusse
From Friday 22nd until Sunday 24th of November, a motorcycle rally travelled the roads of Oé-Cusse. A total of 108 bikes, including 25 bikes from RAEOA, drove around the region to strengthen friendship between two countries and to promote sport and tourism.
The event gathered over one hundred people both from Indonesia and Oé-Cusse and they enjoyed meals, dancing, and traditional ceremonies. This event was done in cooperation between Indonesia TTU and RAEOA ZEESM TL through the Regional Secretary for Community Tourism and involving also the Regional Secretary for Education, Youth, and Sport. Both regions have agreed to continue hosting this event annually.
The route started in Wini (Indonesia) at 3pm on Friday 22nd and continued through Oé-Cusse visiting Puncak Tufuf, Aplal, Oelmuke, Saenam, Manusasi, Nilulat, Haumeniana, Sunkaen, Inbate, Suno, Buk, Haumeni and finally finished in Napan on the 24th morning. The riders spent overnight by camping in Lifau and also partook in a tour around Pante Macassar in the morning of Saturday 23rd.
The bikers proudly carried Indonesian and Timorese flags and shared time together and bonded while discovering the beauty of the region.
