More than 2500 trees planted in Fulolo – Oé-Cusse



The challenge was launched by the President of the Authority of the Special Administrative Region of Oé-Cusse Ambeno and Special Zone of Social Market Economy (RAEOA – ZEESM-TL), HE Dr. Mari Alkatiri: to create an ecological park in Fulolo for wildlife and flora survival and in line with the vision of Oé-Cusse as a green and environmentally sustainable territory.

This Wednesday, January 30, 2019, hundreds of people – among officials from the Regional Secretariats, department directors, students of the Agricultural Technical School and volunteers, put hands on and planted more than 2500 trees, from mahagonias to sandalwood , among other species. The Regional Secretary for Agriculture and Rural Development, Saul Regio, the Assistant Secretary of the President of the Authority for Education, Social Action and Health, Arsenio Bano, and the Regional Secretary for Administration, Francisco Xavier Marques, in addition to local officials from the Suco-Costa Village, were the first to plant trees, in a symbolic gesture that initiated the action of reforestation.
