OBI Bookkeeping Workshop

Last Tuesday, 10th of September, a training took place at the Regional Secretary of Community Tourism in Pante Macassar. In this training, OBI entrepreneurs being supported by RAEOA-ZEESM and UNDP had the chance to learn why keeping track of their finances is important for the business as well as how to do it properly and efficiently.
12 participants, including 5 women and 6 young people learnt to organize debt and credit and how to accurately fill-up and maintain bookkeeping over time. Bookkeeping is important because it helps with business analysis, facilitating the improvement of our businesses. A practice exercise was also part of the training to ensure that the participants can continue to do their own bookkeeping in the future. 
Entrepreneurs with various business such as plastic recycling, bike rental, coffee producers or a spa attended the training. With this training and other prior and future trainings, OBI is improving the stability and success of Oé-Cusse entrepreneurs and their businesses.
The Oé-Cusse Business Incubator, known by its acronym OBI, is a strategy created to support local business and promote small industries in Oé-Cusse to foster sustainable livelihoods in the region through Small and Medium Enterprises development and to build regional capacity in promoting a business enabling environment.
