President of the RAEOA Authority – ZEESM-TL on courtesy visit to Nusa Tenggara Timur
In a gesture of friendship and cultural, economic and social diplomacy, the President of the RAEOA-ZEESM-TL Authority, His Excellency Dr. Mari Alkatiri, accompanied by a delegation composed of two Regional Secretaries and others responsible for several strategic areas of the Region, ends this Friday, December 21, 2018, a courtesy visit to Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT).
After, in December 10, 2018, a delegation of NTT, led by the Governor of the Province of the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Viktor Laiskodat, visited the Special Administrative Region of Oé-Cusse Ambeno (RAEOA) and Special Zone of Social Economy (ZEESM-TL), at the invitation of the President of the Authority, Dr. Mari Alkatiri, in an initiative aimed at stimulating development-oriented cooperation between the two regions and their countries, it was Oé-Cusse’s turn to represent at the highest level in that Indonesian province, regarding the NTT Day, which is scheduled for 20 December. This year, the ceremony celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Indonesian province was attended by two special guests: the President of the RAEOA Authority – ZEESM-TL, His Excellency Dr. Mari Alkatiri, and the Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Tjahjo Kumolo.
The visit began with the reception of the Oé-Cusse official entourage, led by the President of the Authority, in Kefamenanu, by the vice governor, Mr. Alfonsus, local authorities and cultural leaders. Soe was the following destination, with a reception arranged by the Consul of Timor-Leste and with the presence of the district commander, and finally Kupang, where the delegation was greeted by the deputy governor, and was given a dinner with the governor.
Meanwhile, following the visit last December 10, His Excellency the President of the RAEOA-ZEESM-TL Authority, Dr. Mari Alkatiri, approved, with the support of all Regional Secretaries, the constitution of a Technical Commission Together, it will efficiently explore the areas of cooperation already identified between Oé-Cusse and NTT, particularly in the area of Transport and Accessibility, Health and Energy.
