Timor-Leste and Indonesian cultures clebrated in Oé-Cusse


Thousands of people passed through the grounds of the Numbei Parish complex in Pante Macassar, Oé-Cusse, during the afternoon and early evening of this Saturday, March 30, 2019, for the feast of friendship and culture between the Timorese and Indonesian peoples, in the initiative “Pesona Indonesia 2019”, promoted by the Indonesian Embassy in Timor-Leste and by the Special Administrative Region of Oé-Cusse Ambeno (RAEOA – ZEESM – TL), which coincided with the last day of the Oé-Cusse Expo 2019 , performed in the same space.

Music and dance of the two countries, as well as handicrafts and gastronomy, among many other products, arts and crafts, were in this event that was attended, in representation of the President of the Authority, Dr. Mari Alkatiri, by the Deputy Regional Secretary Arsénio Bano and also Regional Secretaries Inácia Teixeira, Pedro Xavier, Francisco Marques and Régio Salu. Indonesia was represented by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Timor-Leste, Sahat Sitorus, Deputy Governor of Belu, Dr. Jose Luan, the Administrator of Belu, Willybrodus Lay, and the representative of the District Administrator TTU / Timur Tengah Utara, Assistant District Administrator Dr. Raymundus Thaal.

In an atmosphere of celebration, friendship between frontier peoples and salutary cultural conviviality, the event ended in apotheosis with the performance of the singer Gerson Oliveira.
