Youth Council of the Special Oé-Cusse Region (CJREO) met with Acting President Arsenio Bano
Leaders of the Youth Council of the Oé-Cusse Special Region (CJREO), which is part of the Timor-Leste National Youth Council, met this Thursday morning, August 8, 2019, with the Interim President of the RAEOA Authority. – ZEESM TL, HE Arsenio Bano.
In addition to present greetings to the Authority, the meeting served to define common youth strategies, with the Acting President asking the CJREO to prepare an annual activity plan that goes beyond the mere programming of special date celebrations, in order to provide young people from Oé-Cusse with real and interesting proposals for their free time occupation and the development of social, civic and human capacities, namely through programs of Sport, Theater, Culture, Arts, Animation, Citizenship and Solidarity.
Arsenio Bano also urged CJREO to establish frequent communication with the Regional Secretariat for Community Tourism, Suco Chiefs and other community leaders, as he stressed that it is crucial to increase options for young people living outside Pante Macassar, where most activities are currently concentrated.
Emphasizing that CJREO is also a partner in celebrating the most significant dates for the Country and the Region, HE Arsenio Bano challenged young people to be creative and innovative in the proposals prepared for these days, which combine moments of celebration with reflection breaks, speeches and tributes, and are intended to contribute to transmit to young people the values and history of the Timorese nation.
